Love and a Hard Place

Mr. Rock, do you ever wonder how to break?
When the earth quakes, and your friends around you shake?
Why my dear one, what a question from a son.
I always thought my daughter would be the one with less laughter.

Ah Mr. Rock, I only wonder, what is the truth to one’s plunder. How are you still intact, after life’s heinous acts?

You see now mister, had it been your sister, I’d tell you about how pain is unevenly administered. Placed in between, never above or below. Ending in the deep, but sinking from the shallow. Because it’s just you, and life will throw you a shoe. I say only this, that it’s much like an abyss.

Huh, Mr. Rock. I do not understand, make it clearer, draw it with your hand.

Oh my silly boy, I too thought it was only a toy. But this is far from picture-perfect, there’s no tracing that will be worth it. Only the strings that your chamber brings, that carries your being from vein to vein, never meaning pain, but always more dramatic in the rain.
