Another moment has been rewarded to me
You orchestrated that
Through the Messiah
A symphony of chords is played
And though I should reap dangers
Spoiled joys and hurtful days
Today I rejoice
For that moment has come
Another day I give thanks for mercy

The villain stands in amazement
Because the hero has made her a friend
Eyes opened
A new world has dawned
Smiling at the Son shining
In a forgiven life
Reigning in a forgiven heart
Flaws and all, freed indeed
I rejoice
Humbly grateful for mercy

The underserved kneels before the worthy
Giving thanks for all Your deeds
For who You are
I may have long days ahead
Or on the brink of death
But I have tasted mercy
Something acquired
Something I will not let go of

The grateful experiences grace
A daily death is worth it
And for this, I ask
Let Your will be done in me
This is the least I can do
I understand You still work in me
Help me to see You and honor accordingly
For this mercy I hold in my hands
Not willing to let go
I see You
So let the You in me show
Have Your way
Create in me a clean heart
Surrendering all, my everything
Because of that moment
That You showed me mercy
I will forever be grateful
